Blueberry Banana Tart

  • 1 cup whole almonds
  • 1 cup gluten-free all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons butter or butter substitute to make it vegan
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon flax meal
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 10-12 oz Root 24 Farms Organic blueberries fresh or frozen
  • 2 small bananas
  • 1 tablespoon raw sugar


  • In a small bowl mix the flax meal with the water. Set aside while it thickens.
  • Place the almonds in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse a couple of times until ground. Add the gluten free flour, cinnamon, salt, sugar and butter. Pulse for few seconds. Add the flax meal mixture and pulse just until the dough comes together to form a ball.
